Who says no to local mangos? Not us! In the sweltering heat of last Summer Anna graciously collected her surplus fruit for us. When the Summer Daze were too hot we worked in the evenings, cleaning, pitting, and fermenting bucket upon bucket of rescue mangos. The heat kept us distilling into the night. As the year wore on, we added orange zest and aniseed myrtle to the mix.
Finally, in November, here it is on the shelf.
Enjoy Summer Daze with soda, or amp up the orange and mango flavours with a juicy citrus mixer. More adventurous folks should use it in their tiki cocktails, with rum, lime, and coconut.
