The name makes fun of Shan’s inability to say the tongue twister - Synonym / Cinnamon / Synonym / Cinnamon. The spirit’s a tongue twister too, intense and slightly bitter citrus from lemons and makrut limes with a warm finish from Australian grown cinnamon. Traditionally only the makrut lime’s leaves and zest are used for flavour, but we’re not ones for tradition so we decided to use the whole fruit.
Strong flavours demanded a stronger ABV, so we bottled Synonym at 42%. It's a botanical vodka that can replace stronger gins in cocktails that call for punch. Or enjoy it with soda (dry and refreshing), ginger beer, or just a splash of tonic and ice.
